My World of Warcraft character

Yeah, I’m still pretty weak, being level 24. But I am ranked now due to some fun PvP in Warsong Gulch. Here’s my profile:

I’m slowly going to wittle down BJ’s resolve until he starts to play. BWAHAHAHA. Then Hrubik is next.

Nope. Never. Ever. Nope. I seriously get cold sweats when you mention MMORPG gaming and wow. My breathing is labored when I look at your profile. 75 days of play time. I had 75 DAYS of playtime when I quit Dark Age of Camelot. Let me break that down for you. If I were to play 8 hours a day and take a break on the weekends (putting that into perspective it’d be like a 40 hour a week job.) I would have been employed FULL-TIME playing a videogame for almost a year.

A Year. What could I have done with those 1800 hours? Studied more? Something else, anything else would have been more productive.

Yes, its funny when you think about it, but it sends me into cold sweats and labored breathing, because there is nothing I’d rather say than. I OWN THIS SERVER. Look at my Kill ratio. LETS DUEL.

At the peak of my addiction I had three instances of DAOC running at the same time. I had an assasin character to poison the weapons on my main, a cleric to provide buffs, and a fully equipped multi role Minstrel to crush anyone who opposed me. No. No. No. Never again.

Wow.. You were addicted. Well, I guess I should let up on taunting you then. I don’t want to make life difficult. While I’m not addicted, I’m really enjoying the game but I’ll try to reasonable with my teasing. :)

Friends tease friends. Believe me, I loved mmorpg gaming. Expecially pvp oriented gaming. My Minstrel I was talking about had about 25,000 kills, with about a 4 to 1 ratio.

To be fair I think Andrew was in the same boat, he used to be a SWG devotee.

I may actually start playing Warhammer when it comes out, since I’m only interested in the high level PVP rather than the raid community and raiding in general. WoW seems to be raid centric rather than PVP centric.

Essentially if I can get a decent character within about 100 hours of play time and PVP without a group successfully I might try the game out. Warhammer Online looks like it might work out that way. I was dissappointed by shadowbane as they made promises but underdelivered on their engine. WoW PVP seems unbalanced and heavily raid focussed for equipment, which is why I’m avoiding it.

Don’t worry you can keep teasing, I just enjoy melodrama. I do frequently relish the days of crushing 4 times our number with a tight guild/clan group perfectly set up and buffed to roll through less experienced people.

Last time I logged in to SWG and look at my total play time it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 - 80 days but some of that time can be accounted for as a crafting mule that was hawking wares. I wasnt required to be ATK thanks to macros.

Sometimes I do feel “the call” though and its hard to resist.
