Close to a Return to Normalcy

I’m very close to being able to return to a state of normalcy, whatever being “normal” actually is.  This weekend is the big final push to move stuff out of our old house in Arkansas.  Monday we are scheduled to close on that house, and then Tuesday we are scheduled to close on our house in Moore.

It will be great to be in my own house again.  Don’t get me wrong, staying with my Mom hasn’t been bad.  It’s been kind of nice getting be around my family again, but since I’ve had a taste of independence for five years its really hard not being the master of the domain again.

I can’t wait to have everything moved in and set up so we can start the next chapter of things.  I’m tired of the stress of living in a different state than my wife, and I’m tired of dealing with the paperwork and pure crap that you have to go through in order to sell a house and buy another.  It is tiring work and I’m just about at my limit.  Fortunately it is just about finished.

I’ll try to post more frequent updates, and I’ll start posting more interesting content here.  I’m sure no one really wants to read angsty posts about moving and such.
