The truth behind piracy
Scott McCloud has written a very intelligent and thought-out piece on what file sharing is all about. He’s not just whining about wanting free stuff–instead he lays out alternatives that would benefit the creators of the works instead of some lame-brained corporate entities. I’m very impressed.

I think the first article/comic was good and offers some good ideas but I went on to read the response from Sean Barrett.

Unfortunately I found out that Sean has no idea whats he’s talking about so I stopped reading half way through. I stopped reading when he said ” record companies have to pay money to get their music on the air, “. That is completely incorrect. Radio station pay fractions of pennies everytime they play a song on air. Radio stations make money by selling airtime to advertisers. One of these days people will learn to read before opening their mouths. I have been guilty of it in the past but not to this scale, yet.
